Margaret Gudgeon

Our new accompanist is an old friend of the Choir, Margaret Gudgeon who has supported the choir often in the past, with her wonderful keyboard skills, heling to keep "the boys" in tune. This, despite running a busy Bed and Breakfast business. Multi-talented, we thank Margaret for joining us,  Margaret has accompanied many choirs in the region, and we all very much look forward to working with her in the future.

Chris Enticknap

Our new Conductor for the forthcoming season is experienced musician and choirmaster Chris Enticknap.  Hailing from the North East of England, Chris had an early career in the media, including spells at BBC Radio 3 and Groves Dictionary of music. A career in marketing followed before he started teaching music in Secondary schools in the North East, while playing the organ for several parish churches.

Chris sings countertenor and bass, professionally, and has had spell singing in the cathedral choirs in Newcastle and Durham.

He is Director of Music at Berwick Parish Church and until recently was Musical Director of Neville's Cross Community Choir in County Durham, and Nidderdale Community Choir, in North Yorkshire, both posts he has relinquished to find more time for music making in the Borders.

Chris is delighted to be joining Berwick Male Voice Choir.
